Youth Cricket Homepage

The Cornwall Youth Cricket League oversees youth club cricket in four Districts: Penwith in the west, Duchy, Kernow and Tamar in the east. Clubs also enter the National MCC Competitions for Under 13's and 15's.

A highlight of the year is the Cornwall Youth Cricket Festival held at Penryn each August. Mark Mitchell and Peter Hickes started the festival in 1987 and it has continued each year since, based at St Gluvias Cricket Club and Penryn School.

The Cornwall Schools' Cricket Association marks its Diamond Jubilee in 2016 and several special events are being planned to celebrate this milestone. The Association runs representative county  age group teams for boys (10-17) and girls at 13s, 15s & 17s. The Association also runs competitions for Primary and Secondary Schools.

The Chance to Shine programme has been bringing cricket to Primary Schools for ten years.
