Bude win the Rosevear Cup

Bude won the Clive Rosevear Cup at Menheniot for the first time. There was disappointment that Veryan conceded on the eve of finals day leaving Ladock with a bye to the final. In the semi-final Bude beat reigning champions Lanhydrock by eight wickets with thirteen balls to spare. Jake Carter made 48 to dominate the Lanhydrock innings of 116 all out. Matthew Williams ended with three for 10. Andrew De Rosa (32no), Matthew Williams (23), Matthew Mansbridge (21) and Gordon Wint (19 no) all batted well for Bude.
It was a very similar story in the final with Andrew Wakeley’s 31 not out the mainstay of Ladock’s 91 all out. Williams and John Blackburn took two wickets. Man of the match Andrew De Rosa hit eight boundaries in his 40. Williams made 24 in a second wicket stand of 66. Victory came with sixteen balls to spare. Ashley Gates took two for 16.

In a well contested final St Just defeated by seven runs at Penzance C C
Werrington defeated Falmouth by 47 runs at Truro.
This week has seen the Hawkey Cup Final played and the semi-finals completed in both the Vinter and Andrew Cups.
Werrington beat Truro by 35 runs in the Kingfisher Beer Cup Round 4 and will host Bath in the last 16 on Sun 14 July.
A busy week of cup competition culminated on Thursday with Pencarrow snatching the final Rosevear Cup Finals Day spot with a six run win over challengers Lanhydrock and Barripper beating Troon II's by two runs in the Andrew Cup Quarter Finals.
