RULE CLARIFICATION     Free Hits for a  NO Ball only apply in the PREMIER LEAGUE & CUP

NOT TIER  1 as the generic numbering might suggest on  Yearbook page 91  (18.14 should read 18.10)

Premier 40/40 Cup Over Rates

This is clarification that Over Rates still apply for this competition.

The Cup Rules 18-16-18.23 refer back to Premier League Rule 18.10, however it was never the intention to delete the over rate rule for the new 40/40 Cup.

Therefore for slow over rates points deductions will still apply for any Group Cup game that has an innings of 40 completed overs.

The Premier League Rule (from May 20)  remains ‘which exceed 40 overs’ i.e. 40.1 overs.

FixturesRoche thirds new ground will not be ready until the second half of the season at the earliest. Therefore their home games continue to be played at St Stephen CC  apart from the 22 April against Lanhydrock seconds. This will be rescheduled. St Stephen’s ground share with football takes precedence in April.

Outside of Falmouth CC’s control some civil engineering works at their Channel 4 (3rds/4ths) ground means the outfield is unplayable for the start of the season. The games on 22 April, 29 April and 6 May (at least) are to be rescheduled. Fixtures

Overseas Players – It appears most applications are being referred to ECB for clarification so clubs are advised to get their paperwork into Dave Eggins as early as possible. All clubs are reminded it is their responsibility to nominate the player on their play-cricket site. It is not possible for the League to do. Until approved by the League on Play-Cricket a player is NOT registered. View the list here

Social Media Policy - In addition to League Rule 35 please see the Social Media statement issued by the Cornwall Cricket Board download. Please ensure your members, particularly the ‘Keyboard Warriors’, are made aware.

Play-Cricket have changed their log in procedures this week – just in time for pre season. Administrators will now need to use the new ECB portal with their email address being the username and their password needs to be at least 8 characters and include a capital letter and a number. Please ensure all your admins are made aware of this and get set up in the next few days otherwise you won’t be able to upload scorecards next week.
