St Just win the Vinter Cup

St Just won the Bradleys Vinter Cup last night for the 14th time in 16 years in most dramatic fashion at Camborne. They beat Penzance by five wickets off the last ball of the match in one of the best finals for years. Needing 140 they still required five off the last two balls. Gary Thomas hit a boundary and then scrambled a single before being mobbed by his jubilant team mates. St Just had looked in control earlier when skipper Gareth May made 52 to win him the Man of the match Award.
For Penzance Christian Purchase made 64.
St Just will now play Grampound Road in the W T Edwards Cup Final next Wednesday at St Austell.
