Premier 50/50 Cup Final
The ECB Cornwall Premier League season is set for a thrilling climax this weekend with Falmouth taking on Werrington twice in two days.
On Saturday, at Falmouth (12.30pm), the champions Werrington take a nine point lead into the final game of the season. A Falmouth win, depending on bonus points, would see them lift the title for the first time since 1992.
The following day the pair meet again at St Austell CC (12.30pm) to contest the Premier 50/50 Cup Final. Falmouth beat Callington in the semi-final in June.
In today's semi-final replay Werrington beat St Just by 24 runs. Acting skipper Adam Hodgson held the Werrington innings together making 82 not out. St Just lost Neil Curnow and Gary Thomas to Chris Rees at 17 in the fourth over. That became 114-6 before Iain McPeake and Shakil Ahmed added 94 for the seventh wicket. Ahmed was last out for 64 with nine balls remaining.

Werrington beat St Just by 24 runs and will meet Falmouth in the final at St Austell CC on Sunday 8 September at 12.30pm.

In a well contested final St Just defeated by seven runs at Penzance C C
Werrington defeated Falmouth by 47 runs at Truro.
This week has seen the Hawkey Cup Final played and the semi-finals completed in both the Vinter and Andrew Cups.
Werrington beat Truro by 35 runs in the Kingfisher Beer Cup Round 4 and will host Bath in the last 16 on Sun 14 July.
A busy week of cup competition culminated on Thursday with Pencarrow snatching the final Rosevear Cup Finals Day spot with a six run win over challengers Lanhydrock and Barripper beating Troon II's by two runs in the Andrew Cup Quarter Finals.
