St Just win the Edwards Cup
St Austell - Werrington 162-3 (A Hodgson 72no, A Smeeth 45), St Just 164-5 (G Thomas 76, G Edwards 40, N Curnow 23; A Smeeth 2-18, A Hodgson 2-35). St Just beat Werrington by five wickets with an over to spare and will represent Cornwall in the National t20 competition area finals day, hosted by the Devon Cricket League, on Sunday 10 August.
Werrington made 162-3 with Adam Hodgson making 72 not out after Alex Smeeth hit 45. They were 73 for two at the halfway mark.
St Just lost Mark George, Harry Medhurst (first ball) and Neil Curnow at 27-3 in the fourth over. Gary Thomas made 76 in an innings where he had to briefly retire hurt (48*) after being struck on the arm at the non strikers end. Gavin Edwards made 40 in a third wicket stand of 81. Needing 24 off three overs St Just won with an over to spare reaching 164-5.
Alex Smeeth 2-18 & Adam Hodgson 2-35. Gary Thomas was named man of the match.

In a well contested final St Just defeated by seven runs at Penzance C C
Werrington defeated Falmouth by 47 runs at Truro.
This week has seen the Hawkey Cup Final played and the semi-finals completed in both the Vinter and Andrew Cups.
Werrington beat Truro by 35 runs in the Kingfisher Beer Cup Round 4 and will host Bath in the last 16 on Sun 14 July.
A busy week of cup competition culminated on Thursday with Pencarrow snatching the final Rosevear Cup Finals Day spot with a six run win over challengers Lanhydrock and Barripper beating Troon II's by two runs in the Andrew Cup Quarter Finals.
