The Cornwall League XI for the annual game against the Devon League has been selected at Mount Wise, Plymouth 2.00pm.
This annual match against a Devon league team has only been played twice before and it was an idea by the LMC in partnership with the Devon League Committee to give non premier young players a chance to meet and play their Devon counter parts when they have few opportunities to play outside of the County. The match has no "formal status" but is a chance to play with Devon colleagues of similar skill. It is about fun and friendship - IT IS NOT A DEVELOPMENT TEAM nor is it a "Cornwall representative team". The LMC asks a senior league captain to select and manage the team on the LMC's behalf and it is based on those who can and want to play and any Cornwall registered player from County 1 to Div 6 can be considered for selection. The LMC will ensure that selection is varied each year to give any player who wishes to be considered the chance to be selected.
Cornwall League XI: Dan Jenkin (Helston) (Capt), Steve Jenkin (Helston), Joe White (Callington), Murray Workman (Callington), Tom Shrewsbury (St Minver), Ben Hawken (St Minver), Cebo Tshike (St Minver), Dan Lello (Hayle), Robin Kendall (Gorran), James Tomlinson (Gorran), Anthony Puliatti (Wadebridge).
