It was a good day for Truro in the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League yesterday.
They were the only team in the top seven to win and their lead has been extended to 11 points.
They beat Penzance by six wickets at Boscawen Park after bowing the visitors out for 134. Truro reached 135 for four with Tom Sharp 52 not out.
St Just’s home game with Redruth was abandoned due to fog and drizzle. St Just had made 278 for five at tea with Harry Medhurst 81 not out. Redruth did not bat.
It was a similar story at Helston who made 219 for 7 against Grampound Road. Mark Jenkin made 63. The Road were 28 without loss when the weather intervened after four overs.
Falmouth had a thrilling two wicket win over Werrington with just a ball to spare. Werrington made 140 all out. Falmouth lost eight wickets before Jamie Stephens and Sean Hooper put on 40 to win the game. Aya Myoli took five for 25.
Newquay were all out for 149 at St Austell after Joe Crane made 58. The St Austell top order all got runs as they replied with 150 for three.
In County Division One Camborne extended their lead, despite having their game abandoned at Ludgvan. Second placed St Minver were beaten at Werrington by one wicket.

Camborne 145 all out, Ludgvan 59 for 3. Match Abandoned.
St Minver 177 all out lost to Werrington seconds 178 for 9
Beacon 76 all out lost to St Gluvias 79 for 2
Hayle 312 for 5 beat Callington 79 all out
Gorran 205 all out lost to Rosudgeon 208 for 8
Wadebridge 239 for 8 beat Roche 201 all out
