TRURO have taken over at the top of the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League for the first time this season following a 233 run win at Newquay.
Adrian Noott batted through the Truro innings to end on 115 not out in their 318 for four. Newquay were shot out for 85 in reply.
St Just, who have led all season, lost at Werrington by two wickets off the penultimate ball in a high scoring thriller.
St Just made 274 for eight with Justin Stephens making 77. Paul Smith hit 85 in Werrington’s reply of 277 for eight.
Helston move up to third after winning at Penzance by 30 runs. Lionel Vaaltyn made 123 not out in their 305 for seven. Greg Smith top scored with 94 in the Penzance total of 275 for eight.
Falmouth got an excellent win at Grampound Road despite fielding a depleted side. The Road made 236 for six with Tom Hughes making 94 and Matt Robins 85. Falmouth replied with 240 for five with Kieran Rodda making 68.
Redruth beat St Austell by seven wickets after the Saints were bowled out for 159. Toby Whiteford got 66 as Redruth responded with 161 for three.
There’s no change at the top of County Division One with Camborne and St Minver both taking maximum points.

Wadebridge 179 all out lost to Camborne 180 for 7
St Minver 292 for 8 beat Ludgvan 274 all out
Werrington seconds 104 all out lost to Hayle 105 for 2
Beacon 179 all out lost to Roche 180 for 8
Rosudgeon 176 all out beat Callington 155 all out
St Gluvias 110 all out lost to Gorran 111 for 4
Today Cornwall start a Unicorns Counties Championship game with Dorset at Truro at 11am
