Truro are back on top of the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League, with a lead of 12 points over St Just with three games to play.
Truro bowled Helston out for 99 and went on to win by six wickets, reaching 103 for four.
Meanwhile in high scoring game St Just went down to a seven wicket home defeat to Penzance.
Gareth May made 68 in St Just’s score of 246 for three in 44 overs.
Antony Angove made 87 not out and Greg Smith 78 not out as Penzance replied with 247 for three with over four overs to spare.
Grampound Road made 237 for seven in a 40 over game at home to Newquay with David Hoskings making 88.
Newquay reached 178 for six to lose by 59 runs.
Falmouth’s home game with St Austell was abandoned due to rain.
St Austell made 203 for five in 47 overs with Mike Bone making 102.
Falmouth were 84 for two when the game was called off.
No play was possible in Werrington’s home game with Redruth.
The top two both won in County Division 1.
Hayle trail Ludgvan by a point but have a game in hand.
St Minver and Camborne have lost ground after their games were both abandoned.
Beacon remain bottom but St Gluvias are now only 14 points behind Werrington secondin the relegation fight.
