There’s no change at the top of the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League with St Just still leading Truro by two points, after both won convincingly yesterday.
St Just bowled Grampound Road out for 114 and reached their target for the loss of three wickets.
Similarly Truro shot out Redruth for just 88 at Trewirgie and went on to win by 9 wickets.
Penzance are up to third after beating Newquay by 90 runs.
Christian Purchase made 79 and Greg Smith 73 in the 337 for 9.
Mark Vermeulen made 146 not out as Newquay responded with 247 for 8.
Helston were defeated by 24 runs at home to Falmouth .
Callum Whittaker made 88 in Falmouth’s 201 for 9.
Helston were all out for 177.
St Austell won by 113 runs at Werrington.
Mike Bone made 72 in St Austell’s 237-7.
Werrington were dismissed for 124.
In County Division 1 Hayle are the new leaders after Camborne lost at home to Werrington seconds.
The results were:
Hayle 269 for 8 beat Rosudgeon 145 all out
Werrington seconds 214 for 7 beat Camborne 99 all out
Callington 154 all out lost to St Minver 156 for 2
Roche 164 all out lost to Ludgvan 165 for 9
St Gluvias 192 for 6 beat Wadebridge 186 all out
Beacon 210 all out lost to Gorran 214 for 2
Today St Just play Torquay in the NatWest T20 Area semi-final at Newport.
The Clive Rosevear Cup Finals day takes place at Menheniot from 10.30am
and the week long Cornwall Youth Cricket Festival commences this morning at Penryn.
