Final Saturday Results
Werrington retain their Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League title by drawing in the top of the table clash at Falmouth.
The Jolly’s Drinks Cornwall Cricket League season ended in a thrilling finale with both the ECB Premier League title race and relegation battle going down to the final hour of the season.
Werrington retained the title after drawing a tense game at Falmouth.
Falmouth made 164 all out.
Knowing a draw was enough Werrington ended on 147 for three with Alex Smeeth making 74 not out.
Redruth finished bottom on virtually the last ball of the season.
They held on for a draw at home to Grampound Road who made 181 for 9.
Redruth ended on 141 for 9 in reply.
Meanwhile there was drama at St Austell when the game with Paul was abandoned due to bad light, with more than 10 overs remaining.
Paul made 173 all out and St Austell were 151 for 9 when play was halted.
Had the final wicket fallen then Redruth would have survived by a single point, at St Austell’s expense.
The Callington v Truro and St Just v Camborne games were cancelled due to wet grounds.
In County Division One Penzance in the relegation zone after threatened Troon, Stithians and Wadebridge all won on the last day. The scores were:
Penzance 115- 8 lost to Troon 119-4
Roche 103 all out lost to Stithians 104-8
Ludgvan 137 all out lost to Wadebridge 141-4
Newquay 232 all out lost to Menheniot Looe 234-6
Gorran 242 all out beat Beacon 159 all out

Following Menheniot Looe’s reinstatement to County Division 1 earlier this week all the East Divisions for 2015 have now been confirmed. In alI the fixtures for 107 of the 153 teams have changed.
