There was a dramatic final day in the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League with Redruth surviving relegation, at the expense of Callington, in the final overs of the season.
Callington failed to take a bonus point in their nine wicket defeat at champions St Just, having been bowled out for 99. St Just made 102 for 1.
St Just – Callington 99 ( J Stephens 5-44, ), St Just 102-1 (N Curnow 34no, G May 30, H Medhurst 21no). St Just (20 points) beat Callington (nil) by nine wickets.
Redruth bowled Werrington out for 186 and required to reach 125 to get enough points to be safe.
It looked it doubt at 70 for 6 but a vital partnership between Martin Strick and skipper Ben Stevens saved the season. Redruth ended on 155 all out to leave Werrington winners by 31 runs.
Werrington – Werrington 186 (N Ward 39, B Smeeth 25, T Goodin 21no, A Hodgson 20; M Jenkin 6-58, A Ahmed 2-49), Redruth 155 (M Strick 48, B Stevens 37, M Jenkin 20; T Goodin 3-39, A Smeeth 3-41, B Smeeth 2-27). Werrington (19 points) beat Redruth (eight) by 31 runs.
Elsewhere Camborne’s Sam Pooley took 8 for 48 as Newquay made 177 for 9 declared. Camborne went on to win by 5 wickets ending on 178 for 5.
After Truro were bowled out for 152 Grampound Road narrowly won by 2 wickets with Matt South making 76 not out.
Falmouth were bowled out for 82 with St Austell winning by 6 wickets

2 East St Minver are champions after Luckett lose to South Petherwin by 10 wkts chasing 141,who are safe at expense of Ladock.
2 West Paul beat St Just by 6 wkts but St Gluvias are champions by 1 point
3 West Troon II win at Hayle to confirm the title. Praze beat Botallack by 122 runs to win promotion
3 East Pencarrow beat Boconnoc by 157 runs so Saltash are promoted at expense of Boconnoc. Bude win to relegate Werrington 3
4 West Goldsithney 374-5 to win the title & Giles Lawrence 167 to break all time most runs in a league season. Mt Ambrose beat St Just III's to clinch promotion at the expense of Perranporth
5 West Gulval II lose to Helston II so Gerrans are runners up.
5 East Launceston II won by 7 wkts to take the title ahead of Calstock
6 West Rosudgeon IIs beat St Gluvias III to win promotion.
6 East South Petherwin seconds win to finish runners up ahead of Lanhydrock.
