The overnight and morning rain yesterday decimated play in the Jolly’s Drinks Cornwall Cricket League with only 10 of the 70 scheduled games being played.
On the opening day of the ECB Cornwall Premier League only two reduced over games at Penzance and Truro went ahead.
In a 40 over game at Penzance the home side were bowled out for 84 by St Just who went on to win by 8 wickets.
At Truro, in a 20 over game, Helston made 108 for 7. Truro won by six wickets off the first ball of the last over.
The games at Redruth, Newquay and St Austell were all cancelled.
Penzance – Penzance 84 (G Smith 18; H Medhurst 2-8, M George 2-11, C Donnelly 2-19, J Stephens 2-23), St Just 86-2 (B Wadlan 37no, N Curnow 27no; G Smith 2-15). St Just (19 points) beat Penzance (one) by eight wickets in a match reduced to 40 overs.
Truro – Helston 108-7 (M Jenkin 36; T Sharp 4-18; N Ivamy 2-22), Truro 113-4 (T Sharp 35, R Harrison 33, K Snell 30no). Truro (17 points) beat Helston (three) by six wickets in a match reduced to 20 overs.
In County Division 1 only the games at St Minver and Camborne went ahead.
Gorran made 182 for 5 against the leaders St Minver who got 162 for 8 in reply to lose their first game.
St Gluvias were 91 all out at Camborne who went on to win by 5 wickets.
Camborne - St Gluvias 91 (R Kellow 29, M Julian 22; S Pooley 4-33, R Downing 3-21, D Caddy 2-9). Camborne 93-5 (N King 39no. P Bostock 3-16, J Udy 2-16). Camborne (19pts) beat St Gluvias (four) by five wickets in a match reduced to 40 overs.
St Minver - Gorran 182-5 (R Kendall 105no, J Tomlinson 39; C Wilson 3-38, P Knoetze 2-28), St Minver 162-8 (R Hawken 45no, P Knoetze 27; J Tomlinson 3-33, R Kendall 2-38, A Grant 2-39). Gorran (18 points) beat St Minver (seven) in a match reduced to 30 overs
Today Cornwall play Oxfordshire in the Unicorns Trophy in a game they must win to stand a chance of reaching the quarter-finals. The match at Werrington starts at 11am
In the Cornwall Womens League this afternoon
Falmouth play Penzance, Truro meet Redruth and Wadebridge entertain Grampound Road.

Following Menheniot Looe’s reinstatement to County Division 1 earlier this week all the East Divisions for 2015 have now been confirmed. In alI the fixtures for 107 of the 153 teams have changed.
