Ground Conditions - League Statement
The Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League Management Committee (LMC) is very aware of the problems being faced by several clubs due to the wet weather preventing adequate preparation of grounds for matches to be played on the opening CCL weekend of 23/24 April. The LMC has looked at the met office forecast (left) for the forthcoming week which shows predominantly dry weather and, encouragingly, easterly winds from mid week and reasonable temperatures.
The LMC reminds all clubs that their rules specifically state matches may not be rescheduled due to weather or ground conditions – Rule 17.5. However the LMC will daily monitor some specific grounds to see whether or not an exception might be considered on this single occasion, following the unprecedented winter rainfall.
Clubs are advised to keep up to date with their emails and the website for updates during this week.
