2014 Season Schedules
Following the withdrawal of Paul C C from the ECB Cornwall Premier League the League Management have made the following changes for the 2014 season.
League Rules dictate that the divisions may not be altered after 1st February, thus avoiding rewriting the complex fixture schedules across all divisions. However, in these exceptional circumstances, the League felt it was essential, if possible, to maintain a full complement of teams in the Higher Tier – ECB Cornwall Premier and County Division 1.
In accordance with the League Rule 11.1.9.2, that states if a vacancy occurs a team will not be relegated, Redruth C C have accepted an invitation to remain in the Premier League for 2014. Also Penzance C C have accepted a similar invitation to remain in County Division 1. Therefore Division 2 West will have only eleven teams in 2014.
In summary there are changes to five divisions:
ECB Premier Redruth take over Paul’s fixtures
County 1 Penzance take over Redruth’s fixtures
Div 2 West Redruth 2nd XI take over Paul 2nd XI fixtures
Paul take over Redruth 2nd XI fixtures
Div 4 West Five Penzance 2nd XI home games have to be rescheduled due to clashes.
They are the following games:
Saturday 24 May v Camborne 3
Saturday 31 May v Porthleven
Saturday 7 June v Goldsithney
Saturday 19 July v St Newlyn East
Monday 25 August v St Buryan
Div 7 West Paul 3rd XI are renamed Paul 2nd XI.
No rescheduling of fixtures required.
