In yesterday’s Jolly’s Drinks Premier 50/50 Cup there were delayed starts at all four games after lunchtime rain. There was a surprise at Penzance where Helston won by two wickets in the last over after chasing the Penzance total of 142 for 9.
Truro completed a good weekend with a 128 run win at home to Grampound Road. Truro made 218 for 7 and restricted the Road to 90 for 9.
At Werrington Paul Smith made 77 not out in the home side’s 237 for 6. Newquay were all out for 101 with Mark Vermeulen making 76.
Falmouth scored 138 for 8 at home to Redruth who were 84 all out in reply.
In the Cornwall Women’s League yesterday Truro beat Launceston, Grampound Road beat Falmouth and Wadebridge defeated Penzance.

Falmouth – Falmouth 138-8 (C Whittaker 40, D Davis 32; C Williams 3-25, P Kent 2-26), Redruth 84 (C Williams 30; D Ayres 3-8, J Thomas 2-16, S O’Nyons 2-18). Falmouth (17 points) beat Redruth (four) by 54 runs in a match reduced to 30 overs.
Penzance – Penzance 142-9 (G Smith 44, C Fortune 23; G Tregenza 3-23, L Vaaltyn 3-28), Helston 143-8 (S Jenkin 35no, B Rule 28, G Tregenza 26; C Fortune 3-31, J Ludlam 2-20). Helston (17 points) beat Penzance (six) by two wickets in a match reduced to 30 overs.
Truro – Truro 218-7 (A Noott 49, T Sharp 45, S Harvey 39, C Miles 25; A Ridd 3-30, C Dalby 2-34, M Robins 2-53), Grampound Rd 90-9 (M Robins 22; R Farrer 3-27, T Sharp 2-10). Truro (19 points) beat Grampound Rd (three) by 128 runs in a match reduced to 35 overs.
Werrington – Werrington 237-6 (P Smith77no, B Smeeth 61, M Hodgson 52no); Newquay 101 (M Vermeulen 76; D Warne 5-24, A Myoli 3-15, A Hodgson 2-28). Werrington (20 points) beat Newquay (four) by 136 runs in a match reduced to 30 overs.

Grampound Rd – Falmouth 38 (E Richardson 28no, C Burnett 2 -7, A Spry 2 -13, B Hosking 3 -2, Grampound Road 41 for 1 ( E Key 20 no). Grampound Rd (20pts) beat Falmouth (one) by nine wickets.
Launceston – Truro 167-3 (A Bridges 59no), Launceston 94-6 (H Pethick 44no; G Sweet 3-17). Truro (18 points) beat Launceston (four) by 73 runs.
Wadebridge – Wadebridge 154-6 (A Cummins 43, R Odgers 31no, C Gilbert 27; Penzance 45 (A Cummins 3-2, I Eddison 3-5). Wadebridge (20 points) beat Penzance four) by 109 runs.

Following Menheniot Looe’s reinstatement to County Division 1 earlier this week all the East Divisions for 2015 have now been confirmed. In alI the fixtures for 107 of the 153 teams have changed.
